Overview

Our Craftsmans Pine Straight Staircase (14 risers) is a practical, workshop-built flight designed for domestic projects needing a clean pine look without balustrade. The product ships without handrails or balusters (ideal where walls or separate balustrade packages are planned). Use the configurator to set Total Rise between 2700–3080 mm, pick your stair width (600–1000 mm in 5 mm steps), and let the tool calculate the going to meet the 42° maximum pitch rule (with the option to override going manually if your layout requires it).

Handrails are a building regulations requirement on at least one side in most domestic settings. This product is supplied without handrails to suit wall-mounted handrails or separate balustrade packages. Please confirm your project’s compliance route before ordering.

Can I choose my own going?
Yes. The configurator auto-calculates going to keep pitch ≤42° (and ≥220 mm). If you need a specific going, tick Override Going and set it manually; the live pitch and 2R+G band will update.

Will it fit my stairwell headroom?
Use the Headroom Check: set your stairwell opening and ceiling height to see the live headroom clearance. Aim for ≥2000 mm.

Do you supply it assembled?
Yes — choose Assembled or Flatpack in the options.

Can I add handrails later?
Yes. You can add wall-mounted handrails or a matching balustrade set separately.
